2025 - 2026 Tuesdays and Thursdays

Private tours are available Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning at 4:00 p.m. These personalized tours offer a comprehensive overview of Roman Catholic's historic three building campus, highlighting key facilities and features.
Each tour lasts approximately 45 minutes, providing ample time for detailed exploration and discussion. Please contact us to schedule your tour or for any additional information.
Shadow Days

Shadow Days are a great way to see what it's like to be a Cahillite for the day! As of 2026, shadow days are available by appointment only. If you'd like to schedule a shadow day, please contact the admissions office at Admissions@RomanCatholicHS.com.
Shadow Day Fast Facts:
Shadow Day drop-offs begin at 7:30 AM and end at 7:50 AM. All students will enter through our main entrance along Vine St. and must be present before homeroom begins at 8:00 AM.
Please have your son wear his current school uniform. Jackets and hoodies are welcome for the commute but must be removed before class begins.
If your son does not have a uniform, a collared shirt, khaki pants, and shoes work best.
He does not need to bring anything with him!
Your son will attend three academic courses, take a campus tour, and eat lunch, all before dismissal at 12:15 PM. Please coordinate a transportation plan before he arrives.
He will be given an excuse letter for school the next day on his way out, along with a t-shirt and photo opportunity.

The FACTS Financial Aid application for the 2025-26 school year opens 10/1/25.
Last year, more than 90% of the student body was awarded a financial aid package.

This event presents an excellent opportunity for prospective students and their families to explore the campus of Catholic High and engage with our faculty members, administrators, and head coaches!
Discovery Day

Discovery Day is an event for families to experience and discover what Roman has to offer before taking entrance exams or making a final decision about high school. While our Open House date is November 2, 2025, this day allows a much more personalized and intimate experience with our courses and electives.
Each student will be able to follow a roster that you create, allowing them to interact with different groups from our academic and activities teams, as well as with one of our 17 varsity sports that we offer. Parents will be given the chance to learn about our admissions process, tuition, and financial aid procedures, and much more!

The Spring Open House offers an exceptional opportunity for prospective students and their families to visit Broad and Vine. During this event, attendees will have the chance to meet with the Leadership Team, Faculty, and Staff, and gain valuable insights into the educational and community offerings of Catholic High.
This visit will provide a comprehensive understanding of how Roman Catholic can meet your family's academic and developmental needs.
2030 Night

We are pleased to invite all registered students of the Class of 2030 and their families to Broad and Vine for the Class of 2030 Night.
During this event, officially enrolled students will have the opportunity to select their classes, meet with administrators, have their ID photos taken, and sign up for sports and clubs, among other activities.
We kindly request that at least one family member accompany each student to ensure a smooth and informative experience.
Additional details will be provided via email to all registered families as we move closer to May.
Summer Enrichment Program: Rising 9th Grade

Summer Enrichment for Rising 9th Graders (Current 8th): $150
This program is designed to help rising 9th graders better prepare for the academic challenges at the high school level. The two-week program's dates for Summer 2026 are TBD. The fee is $150, which includes one hour each of Algebra and Study Skills.
Algebra Foundations:
The intention for this course is to provide a working knowledge of basic algebra and boost mathematical confidence in general. Some of the topics that will be covered include factoring, foil method, graphing (using calculators on loan from school), solving equations and word problems. This course also provides a solid foundation for the SAT and as well as prepares students for their freshman year math course.Study Skills:
The goal of this course is to provide an opportunity for students to develop a skill set that will allow for enhanced academic performance. Students will be exposed to the following concepts: time-management, outlining, note-taking, organization, active listening, research methods and test-taking strategies. Upon completion, students should be able to manage their learning experiences to successfully meet educational goals. The program stresses the importance of developing and utilizing study skills and describes the benefits that accompany the use of these skills during the school year.

Entrance Exams
Roman Catholic requires all incoming students to take the HSPT Entrance Exam. Through the Collaborative Testing effort in the Archdiocese, all students have the opportunity to take the exam one time for free. The collaborative test allows students to select up to three Diocesan high schools to send their scores to at once.
If your student is enrolled in a Diocesan or IMS elementary school, they will take the exam in their classroom the last week of September. **Please ensure your son selects Roman as one of his three preferred schools so we receive his scores by the first week of October.**
If your student attends a public/private/charter school, they can register for the test here at Roman on Saturday, October 11, from 9 - 12 PM.
You reserve the right to have your son take the HSPT as many times as he'd like. Roman Catholic will offer additional testing dates on Saturday, November 15, and Saturday, December 13 if he's like to take it again. However, only Roman will receive his scores and there is a fee of $50.
Public, Private and Charter School Test

With collaborative testing procedures, 8th grade students in either an AOP Elementary School or IMS School will have the opportunity to take the HSPT one (1) time for free in their classrooms and send their test scores to up to three (3) AOP High Schools of their choosing for scholarship awarding review purposes.
As a part of those collaborative testing procedures, the entrance exam at Roman Catholic on October 11th is for students who attend public, private, or charter schools. You will also have the choice of the three (3) schools AOP High Schools of their choosing for scholarship awarding review purposes. Summer Enrichment Program: Rising 8th Grade

Summer Enrichment for Rising 8th Graders (Current 7th): $150
This program is designed to help rising 8th graders better prepare for the Scholarship Exam, which is required for admission to RCHS as an incoming freshman.
The two-week program's dates for Summer 2026 are TBD. The program runs from 9:00 AM – 11:15 AM. The fee is $150, which includes a workbook, an hour of each subject below, and registration for the official Roman Scholarship Exam that will be administered on the last day of the program.
Math and Reasoning:
Students will be taught basic algebra skills along with a comprehensive review of general mathematical concepts. Some of the topics that will be covered include fractions, decimals, percentages, and simple equations. Students will be challenged with word problems and will learn test-taking strategies.
English:
Students will learn and practice vocabulary words related to the exam, as well as helpful Latin root words to better guess at the meanings of difficult words. Students will practice identifying and utilizing English grammar from parts of speech to sentence structures. Also, students will read interesting stories and analyze their elements to better prepare them for the exam.

Our 7th Grade Practice Test provides an excellent opportunity for students to prepare for the 8th Grade Entrance Exam scheduled for the fall. The 7th Grade Practice Test will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026.
